Committee
Brisbane Camera Group is steered by a collection of volunteers forming a committee. The essential roles are the President, Secretary and Treasurer.
All Committee positions are voted on at the AGM, usually held in August.
Committee meetings are usually held at the President's home. BCG Members may attend committee meetings if they with to observe its procedings.
President
There are two main duties of the President of BCG
- The first is to chair the regular meetings of BCG, namely monthly and annual competition meetings, monthly lecture nights and monthly committee meetings. Note this does not include subgroup meetings (including digital group) as these groups have a group coordinator to fulfil this role.
- The second is to act as a coordinator of BCG members to ensure that tasks required for the successful running of the club are allocated and carried out.
Vice-President
Brief
The Vice-President is responsible for assisting the President in the execution of their duties.
DPI Director
Brief
The DPI Director is responsible for collection of digital images by BCG members for competitions
Digital Sub-group Coordinator
Position Objective
To coordinate and promote the activites of the BCG Digital Sub-Group
Treasurer
Brief
It is the treasurer's role to oversee the club's finances, to prepare the books of account and to report on income and expenditure at committee meetings. Annual reports have to be prepared for the AGM.
Impact Editor
Brief
Impact magazine is used to distribute information of events and accomplishments of the Brisbane Camera Group. Traditionally Impact has been a printed format but more recently it has been a production utilising the BCG website with articles being emailed out to members.
Print Director
Brief
The Print Director is responsible for collection of prints by BCG members for competitions
PSQ Representative
Slide Director
Brief
The Slide Director is responsible for collection of slides by BCG members for competitions
Webmaster/Publicity
Brief
To promote activities of the Brisbane Camera Group to existing members, the public and other organisations.
