Member Upgradings and Regradings
Recommendations for upgrading are made by the Scorekeeper to the Committee at the conclusion of a year's competition. The formula for upgrading is Total Score in Monthly Competitions in Prints, Slides and/or Digital Projected Images (minus entry points) divided by the Number of Entries submitted.
-
If, after a year's competition, this result is an average point score of 8 or more, then upgrading is recommended.
-
These points must be obtained from a minimum number of entries, i.e. 75% of the year's total number of monthly competitions.
-
Members will be invited, on reaching the set standard, to accept upgrading. This upgrading can be declined for 1 year. However, continuation of appropriate standards in the following year will make upgrading compulsory for that member.
-
Individuals who wish to have their current grading reviewed may apply, in writing, to the Committee for consideration of their grade. Re-grading (up or down) will be effective before the beginning of each competition year.
