The aim of the Photographic Society of Queensland 2007 Convention is to encourage interclub sociability by providing catered on-site accommodation, reducing the delegates’ overall costs.
We are promoting a budget-minded conference program but we expect all attendees will come away from a fun-filled weekend having been informed, educated, entertained and thoroughly motivated.
BACK 2 BASICS will not be advocating a return to film based photography but plans to teach newcomers, and remind our experienced enthusiasts, how to make the most of technology by understanding basic camera skills and processing techniques, plus encouraging us all to better utilise our imagination.
Note: A “Previous Conventions” Competition will be judged during the weekend. Entry forms will be sent when registrations are received. The traditional PSQ Interclub Competition will not be conducted at this convention. Details of the new style PSQ competition - to be held later in the year - will be forwarded as soon as available.
This year’s special feature will be an Exhibition Of Delegates’ Prints with all attendees invited to bring along a couple of print images, monochrome and/or colour.
The prints must be mounted (14”x 11”) but the final print size is at the makers’ discretion. Prints should be labeled with the maker’s name, Club name & a title.
This is not a competition, simply a way for delegates to exhibit their work.
