How do we critically assess our images? The meeting on Monday 26 February 2007 will be a special opportunity for attendees to critically assess a small selection of images through a group discussion led by experienced judges and BCG members, John May and John Lomas. You will discover what they look for in an image and the key criteria they use when judging, and be able to offer your views on the images displayed. It is anticipated that approximately five prints and five digitally projected images will be discussed in the course of the evening. MEmbers and visitors are welcome to submit an image to be discussed on the night - please bring them to the meeting on Monday 12 February 2007. Our ‘judges’ for the evening will be selecting images with a view to providing variety and demonstrating particular points, so we cannot guarantee that your image will be used. But why not bring along something a little different or challenging for consideration? Please note: this is not part of the BCG competition schedule and points will not be awarded for images. Members and visitors are welcome to come along to this special event which will hopefully, through spirited discussion, give you a few new ideas of what to look for in images. |
