Book Launch and Lecture 26/03/07

Brisbane Camera Group proudly presents on Monday 26 March 2007

Book Launch of I Can Cuddle tigers by Cynthia O'Gorman

followed by a Lecture entitled Aspects by Fred Hunt.

I can cuddle tigers is a 72 page volume featuring photographs, line drawings and poems by Cynthia, representing a rich life of varied experiences, extensive travel and a love of the environment.

From the foreword:

"To misquote Ansel Adams, 'I take photographs because I love what I see'. For the privilege of being able to experience these things I am eternally, humbly grateful." Cynthia O'Gorman.

Cynthia will also have a selection of her images displayed in the hall, and there will be plenty of opportunity to mingle, chat and of course buy a copy of the book ($12).

Following the launch, Fred Hunt will give a lecture entitled Aspects reflecting on some of his favourite images and how he came to make them, and his experiences as a photographer. Fred is a life member of BCG and renowned photographer, whose minimalist and sometimes experimental style (particularly in monochrome) is instantly recognisable and universally admired.

The event will be held at St Brigid's Hall, Red Hill. The hall will be open from 6:30pm with the Book Launch to be held at 7:30om and the Lecture to follow at 8:30pm.

Visitors Welcome.
