Digital Night May
Infra-Red
IR photography was previously only achieveable using special film. Now, thanks to special modifications, IR can be captured on digital cameras. Understanding how it works and how to make it produce images is quite difficult. Fortunately Dave Edney can explain these technicalities and show you the new look of images now possible with and IR camera.
Image Refinement
BCG presents Dean Holland with another instructive installment to help you take better photos.
Dean is a professional trainer and runs Take Better Photos (takebetterphotos.com.au) where he has taught many hundreds of people how to improve their photography, both at the moment the shutter clicks and later during the processing stages.

June Outing - Updated!
Date: Sunday 2 June - 6am
Location: Shorncliffe Pier and surrounds
Set subject objective: Scapes (for July comp)
Meeting Point: Shorncliffe Pier, Lower Moora Park, 65A Park Parade, Shorncliffe. To get to the car park you drive from Park Parade (which runs along the top of the cliffs) down the small road that leads to Lower Moora Park (less than a minute's drive down hill). There's plenty of car parking and the road is a little steep but very safe. Both the car park and the road down to the shore are on the map. **Note: on the map link above the pier is named as "Sandgate" Pier. It is incorrectly labelled on this map. The location of the pier is correct but the pier is called "Shorncliffe" Pier.
2012 Annual Competition Results
January 14 saw the 2012 Annual Dinner and Awards night held at the Kedron Park Hotel. It was a great night, full of fun, trivia and prizes.
The Annual Awards are the pinacle of the BCG competition calendar. Congratulations to all the winners and place getters.
Thanks to the dinner organising committee for putting together a wonderful night.
Working Bee
Our equipment takes a lot of wear and tear being set up and put away every week and we don't get a chance to fix it on any night.
We're organising a working bee to fix some of our things so we don't have to replace them. If you're available from 2pm on Sunday 26 May, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
