Focus on Education 27 July 2009

Want to learn how to take better photographs?

There are many different ways of learning about photography and how create better photographs. Books, self teaching, home study courses and more recently Internet based courses have been the starting point for many photographers. But how do you go to the next level? How do you start with a concept and turn it into a photographic masterpiece?

On Monday 27 July, BCG will hear from some of Queensland's leading art educators on the photography and visual arts courses which are available.

Colin Beard runs the Sunshine Coast School of Photography offering courses in many disciplines and catering for all ages.

QUT's Creative Industries' Dr Victoria Garnons-Williams is an accomplished photographer and lecturer and will speak on the course offerings utilising photography.

Griffith University's Queensland College of Art's Senior Lecturer in Photography, Mr Earle Bridger will present the courses offered and the work of the students.

Anne Russell runs photography courses in Brisbane's western suburbs.

We will also have information about other courses available in the Brisbane area.

So come along and find out how to take your inspiration further.
