It's easy to produce a unique showcase of your images - and to encourage newcomers this year a new section has been introduced into the competitions. Called Mini-10 it is restricted to only 10 images and requires a minimal sound accompaniment. You can also illustrate a song or poem, spin a story, or make us laugh as the director of your own image/sound sequence.

There are 2 popular Audiovisual competitions that BCG members can enter each year...and we are seeking photographers like you to HAVE a GO!

  • Interclub AV competition (closing 28th October, shown 19 Nov at Albion Peace Centre)
  • BCG Annual AV competition (closing 14 Nov, shown 28 Nov)

APS defines AV as "a sequence of still images where the storyline or theme, sound, transitions and images are interdependent. An effective sequence will have unity of its three parts: the conception, the visuals and the sound."

Subject matter can be anything suitable for general exhibition

 For Individuals:-
