Annual Competition 2011
This year’s BCG Annual Competition will be judged on Sunday, 13th November 2011 with winning DPI, Prints and slides presented the following night (Monday, 14th November) at the regular meeting time and venue. Audiovisuals will screen on 28th November.
The Due Date for entries is Monday, 24th October 2011 (apart from AVs due with Ray on 14th Nov). Prints and Slides are to be submitted in person, while DPIs should be emailed to

(DPIs can be submitted on a CD if this is not possible). AVs can be on CD, DVD or memory stick, and should be an self-executing exe file or an approved avi or mp4

Competition Rule Changes
Please note the following changes in the Annual Competition Rules that were made before last year’s competition. See individual sections for full details.
- The Pictorial Monochrome category is now open to Prints, Slides & DPIs (previously prints only).
- The Human Interest Award is now open to DPIs, Slides & All Prints (previously wet process only).
- The Best Print Quality Award is now open to any non-commercial print method (previously wet process only).
- The Best Digital Print Award is now open to any print method including commercial (previously owner print only).
- The Most Artistic Print Award is now open to any print method including commercial (previously owner print and wet process only).
Changes for this year’s competition:
- DPIs can be sized at a maximum width of 1400 px and maximum height of 1050 px (previously 1024 x 768 px).
- A new section for those beginning with AV called Mini-10 was introduced, limited to 10 images.
- Time limit on all AV entries is 7 mins maximum (1-5 mins preferred)
